On this course, you'll gain a firm handle on data analytics and its role in banking and finance. Curriculum
This course explores the application of data analytics in financial industries. You will work with contemporary platforms including cutting-edge SAS analytics software and Bloomberg financial terminals.
In the business part of the course, you examine and scrutinise the fundamental concepts of banking, finance and investment.
You will also learn technical skills associated with data analytics, and apply these skills in the context of financial industries.

This course is delivered face-to-face over three semesters - teaching is scheduled based on the length of your course and the academic calendar.
Applied learning
Work placements
You will have the opportunity to go on a work placement for up to 12 months, starting during the summer of your second year. You can apply for the placement route by selecting the two-year course length.
Live projects
You will examine real-world case studies and data, as well as work on live or simulated industry projects. You will apply the skills and knowledge you gained in your technical and business modules to complex projects in the context of the financial industries.
