For a long time, the establishment of the Department of Architecture of National Kaohsiung University has always been the ardent expectation of the local government, and it has been vigorously promoted by several legislators. The main focus is to balance the educational resources of architecture and urban science in the northern and southern regions of Taiwan and to lay the foundation for the future urban development and construction of the counties and cities in the southern region. At the same time, it will further support the government's new southward policy and create a training base for construction and urban construction talents in the southern region that is going south internationally. The predecessor of the Department of Architecture of Gaoda was originally the "Institute of Urban Development and Architecture" established by the school in 2002. Later, in 2012, in coordination with the school's organizational adjustment, the Department of Creative Design and Architecture (Architecture Group) was established with a university department. As well as the master's class and the master's in-service special class of the Institute; the alumni have accumulated nearly 600 people over the years. The Department of Architecture after Fenghe's independence has officially started enrolling students in 2018. It is expected to enroll 40 students from the university department, 15 students in the master's program of the research institute, and 17 students in the master's special class every year. -
