Introduction
Overview
The Master’s program in “Banking and Finance” is a double degree program offered jointly by Baikal State University and University of Applied Sciences BFI, Vienna. This program is the result of BSU's participation in the European Union TEMPUS IV program. Graduate students of the Master’s program in “Banking and Finance” have an opportunity to study one semester at the University of Applied Sciences in Vienna and get a degree from two universities. During or after the course, graduate students have an opportunity to participate in international educational exchange programs such as Fulbright Program, DAAD, and others.
The courses are taught in English by leading teachers of BSU and invited specialists. A distinctive feature of this program is its focus on developing managerial competencies through such disciplines as Leadership, Team building, etc. The teachers of key courses regularly do international internships, develop and upgrade their courses to meet the requirements of the international standard in the context of international Banking and Finance.
