Our Master of Information (MI) Program was designed to respond to this need and offers students a socially innovative degree that will equip them with the core competencies and knowledge they need to manage the dynamic information landscape. Dalhousie University is a U15 Canadian Research Institution located in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Canada’s beautiful East Coast. Our Faculty of Management, home to Dalhousie's Master of Public Administration program, boasts a reputation for developing private sector, public sector and civil society leaders who manage with integrity and make things happen. Starting each September, our comprehensive two-year full-time program (part-time also available) seeks to equip students with the management skills tailored for public service organizations. Moreover, it fosters a deep understanding of governmental structures, processes, and policies, encompassing not only government bodies but also public agencies and policy groups operating within the public sector. Combined with a paid summer internship and dedicated professional development courses, our graduates are prepared to make a real difference in the lives of those they serve.

The MA in Global Leadership program addresses the need in society to educate and develop professionals and business leaders in both the private and public sector to be capable of working in global or multicultural contexts. The globally-minded professional and business leader is capable of thinking systemically and communicating with diverse peoples across a multi-cultural context. The global-minded leader possesses comprehensive knowledge of the social-political and economic dynamics that drives the global world, is anchored in a core set of values that respects all people regardless of race, religion, gender, age, socio-economic status, class, geography, etc., and is capable of self-growth, self-awareness, resiliency and adaptability.

The Master of Arts in Environment and Management (MEM) is designed for those of you who want to make a difference in your community, in your professional practice, through your work to a more sustainable world for all, and not just some.

Designed with the earth in mind, the Master of Arts in Environmental Education and Communication features a comprehensive curriculum with each course building upon the other to help integrate what you know with what you learn here so that meaning and purpose can better align with action in your life and work. Here, you will learn the skills, knowledge and tools of sustainability.

The MA in Professional Communication program consists of two years of study with an annual on-campus residency at the beginning of each year. Faculty who have expert, real-world experience provide a solid foundation of advanced professional and technical skills that underpin effective leadership in an increasingly communication-driven world.

The program is offered by the AACSB-accredited Dhillon School of Business, and it is designed for students with an undergraduate degree, or significant professional experience, in Management, Commerce, Business or a related discipline. Previous work experience is not required for admission. The thesis-based pathway offers students a comprehensive education in their chosen major (Marketing, Policy & Strategy, Human Resources and Industrial Relations, Finance, Accounting, or International Business).

The Master of Science program offers students in a wide range of disciplines the opportunity to earn a master’s degree by writing a thesis and successfully completing a limited number of courses. The creation of a Thesis in any discipline calls for a range of skills that are central to the liberal education tradition, including analysis and synthesis of ideas, empirical investigations, the construction and articulation of arguments, and writing skills.

The Master of Music (M.Mus.) degree program is a two-year, full-time program of applied and academic study. The program offers students the opportunity to pursue graduate study in performance or composition, and to join a dynamic community of experienced and active professional musicians and scholars.

For over 30 years, graduates of the Master of Education program have enhanced their professional practices, made advancements in their careers and shaped their communities. Our MEd (General) and MEd (Educational Leadership) programs are designed to facilitate the study of critical challenges facing education and to shape how people teach, learn and lead in schools.

Prepare for a career as a Canadian Certified Counsellor or Registered Psychologist in the Master of Counselling program. The 12-course Master of Counselling program is completed over three years in a blended delivery format. Summer term includes an online portion, as well as a two-week face-to-face component in July. Fall and spring courses are offered online. On-campus accommodation is available.

The Master of Arts program at the University of Lethbridge is thesis-based and offers students in a wide range of disciplines the opportunity to earn a master’s degree by writing a thesis and successfully completing a limited number of courses.

The Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree program offers students the opportunity to pursue graduate study majoring in Art, New Media and Dramatic Arts. Each MFA degree program combines research, theory, and practice relevant to the discipline. Faculty, comprised of artists and scholars, foster an environment of active engagement with material and conceptual investigations in production and performance. The MFA allows graduate students to concentrate in their chosen disciplines and to synthesize their research into a Thesis.
