Introduction
By studying this programme, learners will gain an in-depth understanding of the statistical and mathematical foundations of data analytics and obtain the knowledge and skills required to lead the application of digital transformation and data analytics in real-world and business contexts. This programme allows students to build knowledge and skills in both the technology and the people side of technology-triggered change.
Students will learn how to investigate business data requirements and apply data selection, data curation, data quality assurance and data investigation techniques. They will gain the skills to help businesses to most effectively organise their data, present data and investigation results along with compelling business opportunities reports to senior stakeholders.
Suitable for recent graduates and for those looking to retrain or restart careers, the MSc Artificial Intelligence & Technology Leadership provide an ideal pathway for those aspiring to further their careers in leading digital transformation initiatives in the AI and data-driven business environment. Students will have the opportunity to further their career opportunities from day one of the programme by gaining professional skills and competencies as they progress.

Program Outcome
- Obtain skills in IT leadership and management, as well as IT strategy, data analysis, business process and IT project management.
- Develop knowledge and skills in both the technology and the people side of technology-triggered change.
- Investigate business data requirements and apply data selection, data curation, data quality assurance and data investigation techniques
- Culminates in the research, preparation and written and verbal communication of a 10,000-12,000-word interdisciplinary dissertation, conducted under the supervision by a member of faculty.
- Builds a critical and practical understanding of how AI and data management are beneficial to the development of business.
- Offers the opportunity to stay and work in the UK for up to two years after graduation via the Graduate Route Visa (Post Study Work).

Curriculum
Structure
The University’s MSc Digital Transformation and Data Analytics is a 180-credit programme.
Teaching
Courses will be taught in lectures, seminars, labs, drop-in sessions/office hours and through one-on-one tutorials.
Part-time study
The Masters programme can be taken part-time over two years. Part-time students attend the same classes as their full-time colleagues, taking 50% of the course load each academic year.
Assessment
Summative assessment for the MSc Digital Transformation and Data Analytics will be by a range of methods to ensure students have the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and achievements. Students will also be assessed on a dissertation of 10,000-12,000 words.

Scholarships for postgraduate students
A number of scholarships of up to £3,000 are also available across all postgraduate programmes for students who fall under one of the following:
- Students from areas of low higher education participation, low household income or low socioeconomic status
- Disabled students
- Carers
- Estranged students
- Refugees
- Asylum seekers/humanitarian protection (or children of)
- Persons granted leave under the Afghan and Ukrainian resettlement schemes
Applying for Scholarships
- Apply for your Degree programme. You will need to apply by 30 April in order to receive an offer by 31 May.
- Apply for Scholarship by 23.59 on 31 May. The scholarship application will open on 6th April.
- Successful candidates will be notified by 31 July. If you have not heard from us by this time, you should assume that your application is unsuccessful.
- Incomplete scholarship applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
Eligibility
- Candidates must hold either a conditional or unconditional by 31 May scholarship deadline.
- You must have achieved a 2:1 or overseas equivalent or higher.
- The scholarship is deducted directly from tuition fees payable to the university for the first year of your studies if studying full-time and pro-rata for part time students.
- Recipients cannot defer their entry and scholarship to the following year.
- The scholarship cannot be combined with any other award i.e. Alumni discount
- Preference will be given to those studying for their first postgraduate degree.
Postgraduate funding
Postgraduate Loan for masters study
The UK Government Postgraduate Loan (PGL) of up to £11,836 per student for postgraduate masters study in the UK is available for students normally residing in England. PGL will be a contribution towards the costs of study and whether the loan is used towards fees, maintenance or other costs will be at your own discretion.
There are separate loans for students domiciled in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
