Introduction
Master of Science in Air Transport Management (Jointly organised with Cranfield University, UK)
PROGRAMME OVERVIEW
The Master of Science (MSc) in Air Transport Management (ATM) is designed to equip you with the skills needed to pursue a successful career in various sectors of the air transport industry, including civil aviation administrations, airport authorities, air navigation service providers, airlines, air transport consultancies and aerospace companies.
The MSc in ATM is a part-time programme developed specifically to meet the demands of busy executives for more flexible executive teaching in ATM. It combines compulsory air transport core modules with an increased focus on leadership and personal development and builds on this with optional modules chosen to suit individual interests and career aspirations.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
The programme is made up of core (compulsory) modules, optional modules, compulsory group project and an individual research project.
Year 1: Core (Compulsory) Modules
You are required to complete 6 modules which will be scheduled in pairs (each with a 3-day duration) back-to-back. These teaching sessions will be conducted at Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA) and involve a Saturday teaching in each pair of modules.
Year 2: Optional Modules and Compulsory Group Project
You are required to complete at least 30 taught credits consisting of modules conducted at SAA and/or online modules. A compulsory group project is also required.
Year 3: Individual Research Project
The project is to be completed through online supervision and meetings with a supervisor in Singapore.
PROGRAMME DELIVERY
The programme is delivered through a combination of face-to-face contact hours at SAA, online modules, case studies and interactive discussions.
ASSESSMENT
Learning is assessed by a combination of written and oral examinations, submitted coursework, and formal student presentations.
CERTIFICATION
- Students who complete the 1st year will be awarded a Postgraduate Certificate.
- Students who complete the 1st and 2nd year will be awarded a Postgraduate Diploma.
- Students who complete all 3 years will be awarded a Master Degree.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- 1st or 2nd class UK honours degree (or non-UK equivalent) in any discipline; or recognised professional qualification with some relevant working experience
- Students whose 1st language is not English must attain an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 7.0
