Introduction

Graduate programs in public health are offered at the masters and doctoral levels. The Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (MTM&H), Master of Health Administration and Policy (MHAP) and the Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) programs are designed for students with at least 3 years of experience in a health-related field. The Doctorate in Public Health (DrPH) program prepares individuals for leadership roles in research, teaching, or policy development, emphasising public health issues of global or military significance. Two PhD programs are offered: Medical Zoology, for students with a master's degree in entomology or parasitology who wish to pursue further study in field-oriented medical parasitology or vector biology; and Environmental Health Sciences, which includes environmental health science research particularly in the area of military-relevant exposure assessment.

The PMB Graduate Programs in Public Health's mission is to enhance and protect the health of members of the Uniformed Services by producing knowledgeable and highly skilled public health professionals and by promoting evidence-based policymaking, research, and service initiatives that support the global mission of the Uniformed Services.
