The University of Alicante Master's Course in Materials Science is aimed to provide specialized and advanced training in a scientific area of great fundamental and technical impact such as Materials and, more specifically, Nanomaterials.
It is mainly aimed at graduates who have obtained their degree in Science within Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering. This research-oriented Master's degree provides the basis for the development of research activities through a Ph.D. and also prepares students to engage in R&D activities in technological centers and companies working in the Materials field.

Given that the Master’s Degree in Materials Science focuses on research, it is not aimed specifically at any given profession. However, in addition to providing the background necessary for undertaking the research activity to prepare a doctoral thesis, the training students will receive on this Master’s course will equip them to undertake R&D activities in technology centers and businesses devoted to the field of Materials Science. Furthermore, this training provides advanced and specialized education in an extremely important area, both from a fundamental perspective and in its industrial applications.
