Introduction
The social and labor reality requires the application of scientific and technological advances to the field of linguistics. Training in the knowledge of the most recent research methods and in the management of information and communication technologies (ICT) for language teaching, research, translation and proofreading is essential for the development of these fields and to improve the quality of language researchers and professionals.
This Master's Degree, developed entirely at the Universitat Politècnica de València, is planned with a double orientation, professional and research, which allows students to attend to both the didactic and the purely research aspects. On the one hand, it addresses the performance of a professional task in an innovative way that manages the available technological resources. On the other, it prepares for research in the field of applied linguistics, which incorporates advances in computational linguistics.
Therefore, at the end of this Master's degree, students will be able to:
- To know in depth the applied concepts of language and technologies, at the confluence of which products for information management arise.
- Recognize a contextual framework that makes them aware of the importance of language technologies in society.
- Recognize a conceptual framework that provides them with the theoretical foundations of applied linguistics.
- Develop technical and analytical skills aimed at approaching and evaluating linguistic products.
- Develop creativity and encourage thinking to adapt to different situations of application of a language.
