Introduction
The MSc Finance and Investment degree provide a structured programme for those seeking positions in finance and investment. The programme is based around the three main classes of capital investment activity: derivative markets, equity markets and fixed interest markets. It will allow you to focus on advanced developments in finance and investment to meet your interests and career aspirations. The course will increase your knowledge and skills in fundamental management disciplines including specialist modules in specific areas of finance. It will increase your capability to undertake a critical evaluation of core business and finance disciplines, developing your ability to examine and assess different aspects of the financial environment.
The MSc Finance and Investment degree is also accredited by the Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA) and is admitted to the CFA Institute University Recognition Programme.

Course structure
You must complete a total of seven taught modules and an individual dissertation on an approved subject relevant to your field of study. You can also use the dissertation component to concentrate in-depth on a finance and investment topic according to your individual interests and career requirements.

Class locations
Classes will take place at our Kuala Lumpur Teaching Centre on weekday evenings (6:30pm - 9:30pm) and weekends (9:30am - 12:30pm, 1:30pm - 5:00pm).
There will be occasional travel to the Semenyih campus for academic and non-academic workshops.
Entry requirements
An upper second class honours degree (or international equivalent). Non-UK qualifications will be assessed against this standard. Applicants must have a first degree in business/economics/management (with significant quantitative finance and/or econometric component).
Applicants must have graduated from an approved university. Other equivalent qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
English language requirements
- IELTS: 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in each element).
- TOEFL (iBT): 87 (minimum 20 in Speaking and 19 in all other elements).
- PTE (Academic): 62 (with no less than 55 in each element).
- MUET: Band 4.
IELTS, TOEFL and PTE (Academic) test results must be less than two years old and all IELTS must be the academic version of the test. MUET results are valid for five years from the date of the release of results.
