Cellular and Molecular Biology is a postgraduate degree designed for BA graduates who are seeking an in-depth knowledge in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and the ability to exploit this knowledge in advanced areas of Applied Biology Sciences, such as Biomedicine, Biotechnology, and Neurosciences.

The Master's Degree course in Biology provides a highly specialized training course for access to advanced levels of training (Ph.D.) and to undertake scientific research in universities or in public or private research laboratories, project activities in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and agro/food companies and public and private organizations, and job opportunities in the fields of environmental impact, biodiversity and health.

The purpose is to create a new Master level, "Risk Assessment of xenobiotics and Biotechnological Products (RA-XBP)" equivalent to the second-level higher education award that it refers to the second cycle in the Qualifications Framework of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), designed by the Bologna Accords (1999) which refers to level 7 of the European Union's European Qualifications Framework.
