Master Programs in Online Degrees History Cultural History
Students with an undergraduate education who want to continue to develop their knowledge may want to pursue a master’s degree. This provides advanced understanding in a particular area of study and often takes two to three years to complete.
What is a Master in Cultural History? The completion of this degree indicates that a student has a deep understanding of multiculturalism and the relationship between art and culture throughout history. Most of the programs include courses related to library methodology, museum practices, the business and writing of art history, and theory and interpretation. Students often have the chance to take electives in specific areas such as western history, the art of China and Japan, the history of photography, architecture foundations, and foundations of Roman art.
Students who take a master’s program typically learn how to be motivated and take the initiative on projects. They also benefit by developing research and analytical skills that help throughout a graduate’s career.
The cost of tuition is often a concern of interested students. Because costs can vary tremendously based on location, program duration, and specific curriculum requirements, students should get in touch with different schools to find out specific tuition and other fees.
Graduates who hold a master’s degree in cultural history may choose to work in a variety of careers in many different environments. Some typical job titles may include museum curator, art historian, scholar, history teacher, and tour guide. A graduate degree is also helpful for those who want to pursue careers in the area of research, journalism, curriculum development, art criticism, gallery work, art dealership, and travel.
A degree in cultural history can be obtained at a local institution, international school, and even online. Use the database and search for your program below and contact directly the admission office of the school of your choice by filling in the lead form.
