European and Nordic studies (ENS) is an interdisciplinary master’s programme that takes you on a deep dive into current European and Nordic politics, societies, and cultures. It is intended for students who want to explore European issues and phenomena from various angles and understand the roots of current developments.

The programme focuses on European culture in the broad sense, including politics, history, geography, law and stresses Europe in the wider world.

The master's programme provides knowledge and skills in a modern or classical language and culture.

The University Master's Degree in Comparative Literature is conceived as an initiation Master's Degree in Research in Literary Studies of European tradition. The Master is proposed as a way to specialize the already graduated student in the theoretical and methodological knowledge of Comparative Literature and in European literary studies. In the first dimension, with special emphasis on those theoretical-critical currents and methodological approaches of greater validity and current influence. In its development, the Master's study plan is conceived as a support for the historical knowledge of the European literary tradition through the study of various literary traditions in their interconnection, that is, as networks of fluid transversality and mutual influence.

The Master in European Studies at the University of Prešov is a multidisciplinary program that provides a comprehensive examination of varied aspects of historical developments of Europe, its political and ideological transformations, interculturality and ethnic conflicts, migration processes, demographic crisis, etc. It also explores the institutional framework of the European Union, its policies, and integration processes.

The teaching program is affiliated to the three Faculties: Social Sciences, Law, and Humanities. The teaching language is English. In addition to basic and methodological courses as well as simulations, obligatory to all participants, the program offers five specialization tracks over a period of two years:
