The program in "Landscape Architecture - Land Landscape Heritage" integrates technical, natural and agronomical sciences, as well as historical, cultural and social studies. The program is based on design studios and lectures on current themes such as the design of soil and of public open spaces, of the urban and rural landscape, preservation of landscape heritage, regeneration of derelict areas, sustainable tourism and hydrogeological risk prevention.

The program aims at qualified graduates who will be ready to be actively involved in the actual restoration and conservation of historic buildings and sites. The academic objectives of the program involve high-level graduate teaching and practical application of the knowledge gained by students in case studies.

Historic Buildings Rehabilitation international curriculum is built to meet the needs of new professionals, by focusing on the diagnosis of conservation conditions and on the definition of procedures for consolidation and rehabilitation of the historic artefacts.

This advanced master programme is an intensive international and interdisciplinary experience. The renowned Raymond Lemaire International Centre for Conservation (RLICC), established in 1976, focuses on interdisciplinary collaboration and intercultural dialogue both in an education and research environment.

The objective of this course is to ensure that the Master in Heritage Rehabilitation will be qualified to exercise the profession of engineering technician, in the specialization of Rehabilitation of Built Heritage. In particular, it will acquire European-level skills to: diagnose, plan design, conservation design, manage conservation projects, planning, coordinate, rehabilitate and conserve buildings in Rehabilitation works. In addition, they must be able to practice the profession with the ability to understand the economic, industrial, commercial, social, cultural and professional environment in which the Engineering acts are carried out, as well as skills for teamwork, leadership / management teams and entrepreneurship. The training given will allow the masters to integrate or create Conservation and Rehabilitation Companies, Heritage Management Companies, Design conservation companies, Civil Construction Companies linked to heritage intervention works and integrate Regional Culture Directorates, Municipalities, Design Companies, Companies related to the national sector, regional authority’s conservation offices and other public or private bodies.

In increasingly complex multicultural societies, where the coexistence of languages and cultures shapes the construction of diverse identities, there is a growing need for critical analysis of the processes by which identities are constructed and of the dynamics of multicultural phenomena.

The Master's degree in Science for the Conservation-Restoration of Cultural Heritage is aimed at the education and training of Conservation Scientist, a scientist with knowledge on chemistry, physics, biology, geology and informatics applied to cultural heritage and further knowledge in conservation (ethics, history, cultural values, historical technologies, past and present conservation technologies, and practice, specific scientific aspects, etc.).

The specialty of Architecture was established at the faculty of Fine Arts. The faculty of Engineering was established in 2005-2006 academic year and the chair of Architecture have been included in its composition.

The program is offered by the School of Historical Studies (SHS). The School is a dynamic community of faculty members and graduate students, engaged in a systematic and rigorous inquiry into some of the fundamental questions that concern historical experiences within and beyond Asia. The School draws its inspiration from the glorious legacy of ancient Nālandā which served as a conduit for India’s vibrant intellectual linkages with the world for nearly a millennium. The graduate study in Restoration and Conservation (wood, paper, textile, metal and ceramics) lasts two years, i.e. four semesters (120 ECTS credits). Upon completion of the graduate study, students acquire the academic degree of Master in Conservation and Restoration (wood, paper, textile, metal, ceramics).

The invaluable and varied built heritage of Peru, which is more than 14,000 years old, developed in different geographical contexts, with diverse materials, techniques, and construction systems, is in latent danger of being lost, both due to the fact that our country is highly seismic and with a long history of natural disasters, such as because in the last 50 years, it has been affected by economic, social and political conditions, which has obvious repercussions on its conservation. Historic areas and centers nationwide, containers of urban environments, and monuments are potential work areas. It is necessary and possible to manage projects to enable private and public investments, aimed at recovering the quality of life of its population and the conservation of its built heritage.

The Master of Science in Historic Preservation (MSHP) is a 45 credit hour program, usually completed in 15 or 18 months (three regular semesters and possibly part or all of one summer). It is designed to accommodate the background and needs of both those students with substantial experience and those new to the field.

The master’s degree in Architecture covers the topics related to interventions on the existing architectural and environmental heritage. The specific objective of the master’s degree is the achievement of a peculiar sensibility and ability related to the modalities of intervention on pre-existing architectural and environmental heritage, and to the quality design of new architecture, considering the relationships with the pre-existent and the historical city.
