The master's degree program offers two curricula and includes differentiated specialistic courses in: Applied Geomorphology, Geophysics and Seismic Risk, Geology and Stratigraphy, Applied Geology and Hydrogeology, Applied Petrography, Environmental Geochemistry, Cultural Heritage and Geoarchaeology, GIS, Close and Remote Sensing. The aim of the single-cycle degree course in CTF (PCT) is to provide students with an advanced level of multidisciplinary training for the pursuit of highly qualified activities in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. The multidisciplinary nature of the knowledge enables the graduate to enter various sectors of the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical-food, and cosmetic industry, as well as to work as a Pharmacist and Chemist, or to carry out professional activities in the pharmaceutical, pharmacological, and (bio)chemical fields. School teaching is not precluded. The training pathway aims to train a professional figure capable of operating in complex realities with adequate tools of critical knowledge, and analysis and with specific evaluation and implementation planning skills.

The Second Cycle Degree program prepares students for employment as diplomats, international functionaries, public officials and business managers. It also prepares them for service as officials and managers in non-governmental and non-profit organizations operating in the fields of international relations, human rights, development cooperation and humanitarian aid in critical areas.

The course, delivered in Italian, aims to convey a broad and in-depth knowledge of governance and business management issues. The objective is to provide tools for analyzing economic, social, legal, cultural and technological problems, to allow the application of theoretical knowledge in the analysis and resolution of specific problems.

The main purpose of this interclass course is to integrate the historical and philosophical perspective in the study of the phenomena of society and culture, according to a tradition of research and education that has characterized this university site since its foundation in the early 1970s. The training course will allow the student to acquire knowledge and ability to analyze the sources, full mastery of the authors and texts, as well as the most relevant problems and methods of investigation of the different interpretative traditions. In this way, he will be able to orient himself within the epistemological and contemporary hermeneutic debate both in the historical and in the philosophical sphere.

The Master's Degree course in Biology provides a highly specialized training course for access to advanced levels of training (Ph.D.) and to undertake scientific research in universities or in public or private research laboratories, project activities in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and agro/food companies and public and private organizations, and job opportunities in the fields of environmental impact, biodiversity and health.

Attending the Master’s Degree Course in Classics proposed by the University of Siena means studying the ancient world through a multidisciplinary approach, capable of making the student grasp the determinant values of the ancient cultural dimension, with its common traits and no less important differences compared to the modern one. Students will acquire advanced disciplinary and methodological skills not only in the two classical languages, in classical philology and in ancient history, but also in the anthropology of the ancient world, a discipline linked to the “interdepartmental center of anthropology and the ancient world”. Among the other subjects included in the curriculum, there are disciplines that complete the path of the classicist future: papyrology, Greek and Latin paleography, Byzantine civilization, medieval Latin and humanistic literature, the history of ancient philosophy, and classical archeology.
