The Graduate School of Education aims to develop experts in education and childcare who, in addition to outstanding practical skills, possess a solid theoretical grounding in fields connected with the development, education, and care of children. The school has three fields through which students strive to meet these goals: Educational Studies, Childcare/Curriculum Development, and Research and Clinical Education Course. By studying a broad range of related fields in addition to in-depth research in their own fields, students can attain a high level of knowledge and skills. Students also benefit from close collaboration with Nakamura Gakuen’s kindergartens/nursery schools and Development Support Center, giving them practical experience of work in educational/daycare, special education, and child support facilities.

The Graduate School of Nutritional Sciences, only with a Master's Course opened in 1990 based on the long tradition and history of food-related achievements at Nakamura Gakuen University. In 2004, the first-ever Doctor's course established as an education and research facility related to nutrition in western Japan.

The graduate program of System Management is aimed to provide students various engineering techniques to analyze and optimize management, production, and information media systems. The program consists of the following three research fields: （1）Management system engineering, （2）Production system engineering, and （3）Information media engineering.

The Department of Education and Clinical Psychology is dedicated to training graduates to support and assist others while contributing to character formation and care through the comprehensive study of the two fields of education and clinical psychology. To that end, students study knowledge and techniques in pedagogy and clinical psychology, including subjects such as mental health, stress management, self-understanding, lifelong learning, and career development. Starting during their second year, students choose from three courses-Teacher, Certified Clinical Psychologist, and Career Design -and then focus their studies on the more specialized and practical theory and skills based on their chosen future career. Each model offers internship opportunities in such settings as schools, hospitals, and social welfare facilities where clinical psychology is practiced, and private-sector companies and NPOs. The Departmentʼs goal is to prepare students to thrive in society while taking advantage of comprehensive, practical skills using the knowledge and techniques of pedagogy and clinical psychology.

As the only graduate school in Kyushu with programs in the field of distribution science, the Graduate School of Business, Marketing, and Distribution develop the kinds of professionals who can flourish at the frontline of the distribution industry. The school consists of a Guided Research-based Course that aims to nurture distribution researchers and analysts, and a Subject-based Course that seeks to cultivate experts with a sophisticated knowledge of this field. The Subject-based Course is divided into two subject groups. Distribution Marketing focuses on research and education in the areas of marketing and logistics, training professionals who can contribute to innovation in the distribution process. Distribution Management focuses on research and education in the areas of strategic administration, management, and accounting, training professionals who can contribute to innovation in the management process.

Modern information electronics covers a wide range of subjects including solid-state electronics, electronic devices constructed from semiconductors and superconductors, electronic circuits, electronic measurement and control, hardware and software for computers, and many other applications. The department organizes the following four fields for the studies to master the above subjects: （1）Solid State Electronics, （2）Electronic Measurement, （3）Information Electronics Systems, and （4）Applied Electronic Engineering. The students select lectures depending on their individual needs and goals and carry out research at one of the above divisions under the supervision of the advisors.
