The Master's in Oceanography at the "Almirante Padilla" Naval Cadet School is the result of the inter-institutional effort of more than 40 years of teaching and research in oceanographic issues developed by the National Navy and the General Maritime Directorate (DIMAR). The program has the support of those of the Center for Oceanographic and Hydrographic Research of the Caribbean (CIOH) and the Pacific (CCCP) belonging to the General Maritime Directorate - DIMAR, as well as the research groups associated with the School; It includes possibilities for the use of the Oceanographic and Hydrographic units of the National Navy and has Academic, Technological and Scientific exchange agreements with National and International institutions promoting educational excellence and internationalization in the process.

In response to the huge demand for human resources in finding technological solutions for drinking water and wastewater treatment as well as for climate change adaptation in Vietnam, the Master program “Water - Environment - Oceanography”, one of six priorities in the USTH training program, has been created since November 2009. Accompanying solid scientific training, the WEO master program will focus on studying the advanced technologies, which are currently unpopular or untaught in Vietnam, both in the field of water treatment (supply water, wastewater) and natural aquatic environments (modeling, remote sensing, and environmental engineering). Besides, with all the lessons are taught in English, the main objective of this program is to train future leaders in the field of water science, who are capable to work for industries, consulting firms, and government agencies (concerning water services, flood, and environmental disaster prevention, natural resources management, and land use.

Our Ocean, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences graduate degree program is built on internationally recognized faculty research programs within CEOAS, with Oregon State University currently ranked #3 in the world for Oceanography. The Ocean Sciences Department offers a master of science (M.S.) degree in ocean sciences. The ocean sciences M.S. degree can be attained through the plan I: thesis (coursework and thesis, minimum 44 credits), or plan II: examination (coursework and written examination, minimum 42 credits).

The MSc Program "Oceanography - Exploration assessment and management of marine environment" aims to provide high-quality postgraduate education and training of young scientists so that they can develop and apply methodologies and techniques in marine environmental management issues, cases of pollution and degradation, fish stocks assessment and fisheries management, basic aquaculture techniques and methods, and management of marine natural and cultural heritage. Graduates will be able to staff companies and organizations in the private and public sectors, implementing European Directives related to the marine environment and/or pursue doctoral studies.

The University Master's Degree in Oceanography proposed by the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the University of Vigo and the Universidad de Cádiz analyzes in an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary way the processes that take place in the oceans, including shallow seas, continental margins and the deep ocean, as well as the structures resulting from them. The oceans are considered to be complex systems in whose general dynamics physical, chemical, biological and geological factors intervene, placing special emphasis on the interaction and feedback mechanisms that take place between them.

Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences (EOAS) provides fundamental knowledge that builds up our scientific realisation and understanding of the earth system and changing trends. EOAS focuses on interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary studies of interactions among ocean, atmosphere and land in the earth system for the regional sustainable environment and climate change.
