You will learn the latest techniques in phylogenetics, biomechanics and macroevolution, providing you with a strong foundation for independent research to PhD level or for careers in fields such as museum curation, science education, science policy, industry or the media.

The Department of Geology and Geological Engineering offers advanced study leading to an MS degree in paleontology. Resources available to graduate students in paleontology include the extensive collections of the Museum of Geology . The MS in paleontology has a strong emphasis on field-based research as well as courses in museum studies.

The Department of Geology and Geological Engineering offers advanced study leading to a M.S. degree in Geology and Geological Engineering*. Students must elect to pursue either a Geology Specialization or a Geological Engineering Specialization, each of which has different background and program requirements. At this time there is no direct admission into the non-thesis option.

The overall objective of the course is to train postgraduate students with a comprehensive and integrated understanding of the current issues of the evolution of Earth and Life. Despite the obvious added value in terms of quality and complementarity by the union of two universities in order to prepare a course of study, it is believed that this MSc will promote a set of cohesive lessons, worth employability and to act as protection and socio-economic recovery of the paleontological heritage. Apart from that, this MSc will fill a gap in terms of offering specific training in this area.
