The aim of the Master’s Degree Programme in MSc in Clinical Laboratory Science is to train clinical laboratory research professionals who are familiar with the general and specific rules and requirements of clinical laboratory research and are capable of actively conducting clinical laboratory research in practice. Our aim is to train professionals who are able to conduct, organise and control the clinical trial and evaluation of medical and other therapeutic procedures and diagnostic methods.

You’ll get clinical practice through hands-on instruction with equipment used routinely in the hospital setting, including state-of-the-art MRI and CT facilities, and medical linear accelerators, which will prepare you for research or clinical training in this rapidly changing field. You’ll also get tuition in computer-based modelling, research methodology and the ethical dimensions associated with medical research.

As a physician assistant, you’ll be an integral member of the health care team, working with physicians to meet the needs of society’s patients. You’ll serve in all medical specialities, treating patients’ illnesses and injuries, as well as educating them on wellness and disease prevention.

Forensic science focuses on analyzing evidence in laboratory settings, while crime scene investigation involves the proper identification, collection, and chain-of-custody procedures of the evidence being analyzed. Hilbert blends the two areas with a strong emphasis on crime scene investigation and its relation to the forensic lab.

The Laboratory Management Specialization requires 31 graduate semester credit hours for graduation. Students may choose to attend part-time or full-time as their schedules allow, and may choose among a number of elective courses that meet their individual needs and interests. If attending on a full-time basis, students in this specialization option can complete their master’s degree in four semesters. This degree option will prepare the student for leadership positions in research, clinical practice, management, and industry.
