‹Run by the People’s Government of Henan Province, Zhengzhou University (ZZU) ，located at No.100, Kexuedadao Road, Zhengzhou City, Henan，boasts of a total area of about 939 acres and four campuses: Main Campus (No.100, Kexuedadao Road, Zhengzhou City), South Campus (No.75, Daxuebeilu Road, Zhengzhou City), North Campus (No. 97, Wenhua Road, Zhengzhou City), and East Campus (No. 40, Daxuebeilu Road, Zhengzhou City). Targeting the whole of China for admission, ZZU embraces a wide range of enrollment of over 55, 000 full-time undergraduates, over 15, 000 full-time postgraduates of all kinds, and some 1, 800 international students from more than 116 countries and regions. ZZU is on the list of National “211 Project” of key construction universities, and of “One Province, One University” of National Key Support Construction Universities, as well as of co-construction universities by Henan Province and the Ministry of Education. In September of 2017, ZZU entered the construction sequence of National World First-class Universities. Standing at this new historic starting line, ZZU decided its location of the running school to be comprehensive & research-oriented, and laid down a three-step development strategy, striving to build a world first-class comprehensive research-oriented university by the middle of this century.

The Department of Education of ZZU was established in January 2010. Its predecessor was the School of Education of ZZU founded in 2000. Now, the Department of Education offers two undergraduate programs: Pedagogy and Applied Psychology and five postgraduate programs: Basic Psychology, Applied Psychology, Educational Economy & Management, and Career Education. There are one educational technology laboratory and one comprehensive psychology laboratory in the department with total construction area of 1000 square meters. There is one branch library of educational books and materials in the department to meet the learning need of the types of students. It is the educational base of Henan Province. Additionally, this Department also has signed a cooperation agreement with Taiwan Mingchuan University and National Taichung University. Each year, there are more than ten students selected and sent to Taiwan for exchange. There is 40 academic staff in Department of Education, wherein 8 of them have professorship title, 30 of them have Ph.D. degree. Since the establishment of this Department, The Department of Education has placed vital importance on teaching and research. The graduates of the department have played an important role in the education of primary and middle schools in Henan.

Master in APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY

The School of Agricultural Sciences (SAS), established in July 2018, is jointly funded by Zhengzhou University (ZZU) and the Institute of Cotton Research of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (ICR-CAAS). As one of the independent departments for teaching and academic activities in ZZU, the SAS is currently offering different levels of degree programs, including a Bachelor degree in Plant Science and Technology, and Master degree in Crop Science, and a Doctoral degree in Plant Biology, and as well as the Postdoctoral training program.

The School of Fine Arts was established in 2001. With its development, the School now has a provincial key discipline: Fine Arts Studies. Also, the school has obtained a lot of awards in the national or provincial academic exhibition; published over 80 academic monographs, painting albums, and more than 200 academic papers. The school now has 48 academic staff including 8 professors, 10 associated professors, 2 doctoral supervisors, and 13 master’s supervisors. Till now, the School of Fine Arts comprises 6 departments including the Department of Traditional Chinese Painting, the Department of Oil painting, the Department of Sculpture, the Department of Art Design, the Department of Calligraphy, and the Department of Art History. The School of Fine Arts currently offers 3 undergraduate programs including Painting, Sculpture, and Visual Communication; 2 master’s degree programs including Art Studies and Fine Arts Studies. In addition, the school established three research laboratories and a research center. Also, it has perfected teaching facilities, 5 arts computer rooms, and more than 200 specialized computers. The School of Fine Arts is dedicated to the training of professional artistic talents. By learning from some other national key Fine Arts schools and integrating their teaching ideas and methods, the School of Fine Arts has formed a sound academic environment and unique teaching features. Meanwhile, the School of Fine Arts pays more attention to foreign cultural exchanges and has established a sound exchange and cooperation relationship with those schools in the USA, Japan, the Republic of Belarus, and Australia successively.
